Luke Hurst is a Tasmanian multidisciplinary artist based in Hobart. His practice lives across poetry, drag, cabaret, film, gallery exhibition, and producing — work that explores queer identity, emotional vulnerability, and the unexpected texture of contemporary life.
At the centre of it is language. His debut poetry manuscript, Allagorious, is forthcoming in 2026. As a featured touring poet for the 2026 Tasmanian Poetry Festival and creator of Scream and Shout Poetry (a live poetry event integrating projections and soundscapes) he builds spaces where poetry can be heard as much as read.
Beyond the page, he performs as a drag and cabaret artist, produces film and multimedia work, exhibits in gallery contexts, and runs LLDC Entertainment — a producing entity for queer multidisciplinary arts across Tasmania.
